Biography

Deco are a four piece band formed in 2003 and have been creating their own individual sound ever since. Musical preferences vary greatly within the band, the result being a unique blend of ambient indie funk.

The funk-soul core of the band comes from drummer Dave and bassist Ollie tight rhythm section, whilst the indie influence comes from Sonny Deco have been gigging regularly in home county Hertfordshire and have been performing their music at a string of recognised venues in and around London. As well as packed out shows at such prestigious venues as Water Rats, The Hope & Anchor & Cargo to name a few, 2005 also saw them preform their first festival at Guilfest along with the likes of Paul Weller & The Subways.

The band then carried on with the London circuit taking their first trip up north to Leeds in January and playing The Mixing Tin. February 2006 received their first live review in a gig Upstairs @ The Garage in which the band were desribed to have 'stole the show' and 'on songs like “22” the room literally shakes with excitement and energy' (Mark Matthews).

Since then the boys have developed their sound a huge amount and having earnt their 'Live performance' wings decided to slow the gigs down to concemtrate on recording more. Their love for completley different types of music and trying to avoid the imitation of 'now' type bands, gives them a unique edge and sound. The last few months have seen them support Cosmic Rough Riders and more recentley Battle. January 2006 will see them embark on another string of gigs to showcase their new material. Watch this space!
